Jaipur: Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, who plays the lead role in the remake of the 1978 blockbuster Don, on Sunday said he has tried to do justice to the character immortalised by Amitabh Bachchan.
"I have tried my level best to do justice to the character I have played in the movie. I hope I can match upto the capablities of Mr Bachchan," he told reporters on reaching Gandhi Nagar railway station.
He arrived from New Delhi on the Blue Billion Express along with actress Priyanka to cheer the Indian team against England in their first Champions Trophy match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium.
He told those accompanying them on the train that the earlier version was "no doubt better" as it was the original one.
He lauded the performances of Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and others in the '70s hit and said Director Farhan Akhtar has changed the first half-hour and last half-hour of the remake "which I like the most" in the script.
