HYDERABAD: The state government has decided to develop tourist spots with necessary infrastructure and other facilities for every 100 km along the state and national highways to promote tourism sector in the state. Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy gave the nod for providing Rs 10 crore to the tourism department for taking up tourism promotion campaign in addition to the budgetary allocation of Rs 52 crore for this financial year.At a review meeting on the ongoing tourism projects here on Tuesday, Kiran Kumar Reddy agreed to release the state's share and other arrears to the tourism department apart from providing employment opportunities to youth in the state. He also directed senior officials to clear Rs 7.5 crore incentives due to the investors in the tourism projects under PPP mode during 2004-10. A land bank will be created for promotion of the tourism sector.
