KOCHI: A special meeting will be held in Thriruvananthapuram on Wednesday to decide on the issue of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) running more night services to the Vyttila Mobility Hub.The high-level meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and attended by Transport Minister V S Sivakumar, Vyttila Mobility Hub Society managing director M Beena, KSRTC managing director Alexander Luke and other officials concerned.Though Vyttila Mobility Hub Society has decided to be fully operational, it is yet to be achieved, as KSRTC buses are not operating from the hub at night. At present, long-distance KSRTC buses are entering the hub only between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.Though the Hub Society had mooted the idea of shifting the entire operations to the hub and conducting more services to the hub during night, the KSRTC authorities are of the opinion that commencing more Vyttila-Vyttila circular night services would not be financially viable. An amicable solution in this regard is expected to be evolved at Wednesday’s  meeting.
