HC query to government on RTI plea

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday sought the stand of the state government on a petition challenging dismissal of an application filed under the Right to Information Act. The petition was filed by former MLA Joseph M Puthussery.Joseph had submitted an application seeking the details regarding the report submitted by former ADGP Siby Mathews, which mentions the unholy nexus between the police and criminals.However, the RTI application was rejected on grounds that the report was confidential.
