HC orders case against Sabita Reddy

HYDERABAD: In what is being seen as a blow to the image of the state government, Justice L Narsimha Reddy of AP High Court took cognizance of reports in the newspapers on the allegations made by handlooms and textiles minister P Shankar Rao against his cabinet colleagues - home minister Sabita Reddy and excise minister M Venkata Ramana.The textiles minister made allegations that home minister and her son were collecting huge sums for giving postings to police personnel. He also alleged that undue importance was being given to the ‘errant’ ministers.The judge took notice of the allegations made by the minister against his colleagues and directed the registry of the court to list it as a case before the appropriate court. Shankar Rao on Tuesday said that he welcomed the court’s decision.
