New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notices to Delhi Lt Governor and Station House Officer of Mukherjee Nagar Police Station on a petition filed by the son of suspended Police Inspector Devender Manchanda who had committed suicide.
Manchanda's son Prashant has filed a petition before the court seeking registration of an FIR against city Police Commissioner K K Paul in connection with his father's suicide.
While fixing November 13 as next date of hearing, Justice B D Ahmed sought status report from the Police in connection with the case.
Manchanda (55), under suspension from the service for the last two years, had allegedly committed suicide on October 13 by consuming some poisonous substance. His body was found on the Barakhamba road near Connaught Place.
