Taipei: Gaurav Ghei fired a six-under-par 66 to win the US$500,000 Taiwan Masters title on Sunday.
Ghei finished the blemish-free round with six birdies at a four-day total of 10-under-par 278, beating countryman Rahil Gangjee by one stroke.
The 38-year-old champion last won the 1995 Gadgil Western Masters on home soil.
"It's been 11 years since I won and the way I played in the past two days without dropping a shot, it is just fantastic," Ghei said.
Overnight leader Gangjee started well with birdies at the second and fifth holes, but dropped a shot at the seventh hole and carded another bogey on the 14th hole.
"I didn't expect to finish in second place," Gangjee said. "I started off good but then endured poor putting ... and that's not the way to win a tournament."
At third place was Teh Oh of South Korea, who delivered his best result this year with four birdies against four bogeys for a four-day total of 282.
Two strokes behind was South Korea's rising star Park Jun-Won. With six birdies against three bogeys, he recorded his third top-ten finish in his rookie season this year.
Park shared the fourth place with Adam Groom of Australia and Americans Jason Knutzon and Bryan Saltus.
