New Delhi: Director Ajay Bahl's 'BA Pass' is the most awaited among the Hindi films releasing this week. The film stars Shilpa Shukla and Shadab Kamal in the lead roles, and has won awards at several film festivals.
'BA Pass' is a story looking at the fatal promise of a new life where a young man becomes the victim of his own uncontrolled desires.
Deepti Naval has done a friendly appearance in 'BA Pass'. She was sceptical about doing the erotic human drama, but the film's lead actress Shilpa Shukla convinced her.
The film is about a relationship based on lust, lies and deceit
"There is a particular scene in the film and I needed Deepti Naval for that. When she heard the script, she was reluctant about doing the film but she saw the clippings of the film, she really liked the camera work and the way the film has been treated," Ajay Bahl, the film's director, told IANS.
"Besides Shilpa had worked with Deepti in 'Bhindi Bazaar', so I asked her to convince her...looking at the scenes and dialogues she said she want to do it. So basically she has done a cameo, more off a friendly appearance in the film," he added.
New kid on the block Shadab Kamal, who is making his full-fledged debut with 'BA Pass', has gone all bold in the 'erotic human drama' with actress Shilpa Shukla. He says 'Chak De! India' actress made the experience easy for him.
"I was quite nervous with the intimate scenes because I was worried about my co-actor. It's a very awkward situation, but when you have a confident co-actor, the job gets easier," Shadab told IANS.
Shilpa plays a rich, married woman, who turns a sex guru for the boy. She teaches him the art of lovemaking.
To be presented and distributed by Bharat Shah, the film is going public on August 2, 2013. Bahl is also the cinematographer and producer of the film.
Though the Indian audiences have changed a lot in recent years but it's still very difficult to predict success for 'BA Pass' due to its so-called bold theme and erotic presentation. (With inputs from IANS, PTI)
