Vasanthi stood guarantor/co-applicant. He died without repaying the loan. Following complaints from the banks, the Bank Fraud Wing registered four cases against Vasanthi. She repaid the loan amounts and settled the loan in full. However, they kept alive the cases. Hence, the petitions. Allowing the petitions, Justice T Mathivanan said that a perusal of the averments of the petitioner as well as the No Due Certificate (NDC) showed that the petitioner had fully settled the dues. Since the dispute between the petitioner and the respective banks had been settled and the entire amount paid, this court was inclined to allow the petitions, the judge added.
