Fr C Joseph is CBCI Deputy Secretary General

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Fr Dr C Joseph of the Latin Archdiocese has been appointed as the deputy secretary general of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) and Director of CBCI Centre, New Delhi.Fr Joseph is a former vicar of the St Joseph’s Metropolitan Cathedral here.The appointee will succeed Fr Thomas Acquinas Sequira (Goa), whose term is set to end this May. The appointment is for a six-year period.Fr C Joseph, a native of Pulluvila, was ordained as a priest in December 1973, by Bishop Bernard Pereira. He had served in several parishes of the Latin archdiocese here.He also held various offices in the diocese as corporate manager, director of the board of education, chancellor, consultor and judicial vicar.
