BANGALORE: ‘Music Mouth for the Education of Children’, a two-week campaign, is being be organised by I’m Still Thinking Events, an event management company.The campaign aims at collecting notebooks and stationery to enable the education of at least 1000 children in the city.The company in collaboration with Association for Promoting Social Action (APSA), a right-based child centered community development organisation, will promote art and social activism on the same stage.‘Music Mouth’ is a series of concerts that break the silence with music and gives pertinent issues a voice. It’s main objective is to use music as a tool of expression, social change and most importantly, a space for people to come together and be an active part of the society in which they live.Anup and Kenneth from Bangalore will perform at Kyra Theatre on August 13 from 6 pm onwards in support of the cause. The entry for the concert is 30 notebooks per head i.e.` 300 and a stall is arranged that will make notebooks available for sale at the venue.Public can donate notebooks and stationery at their nearest outlets such as Reliance TimeOut, Office Depot, Gangaram’s, Hysteria and Goobay’s Book Republic.Pre-event vouchers priced at `300 for 30 notebooks are also available at the same places.Music Mouth is also sponsored by Idea and ITC Classmate and has partnered with Delhi Public School and Sophia High School where the students are invited to make donation. Corporate offices such as Akamai, Sasken and HP (Hewlett Packards) will contribute notebooks as part of their corporate social responsibility.
