India is home to many temples, mosques, churches, and gurudwaras. It is a secular country that appreciates and upholds the principles of many religions. The Rameswaram temple in Tamil Nadu is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindu devotees. Since the temple witnesses a massive footfall every year, the Tamil Nadu government has come up with a new website for the convenience of tourists as well as devotees.

According to reports, Ramanathapuram district has various tourist spots like Rameswaram, Dhanushkodi, Arichal Nothi, Devipatnam, Uthirakosamangai, Tirupullani, Airwadi, and more. Within Rameswaram, there are Ramanathaswamy Temple, Pampan Bridge, Abdul Kalam National Memorial, and Ram Padam.

To make it convenient for tourists, the government has launched a website that has all the important information about the area. This move was initiated by RS Rajakannappan, the Minister of Backward Welfare and Higher Education. Travellers can use the website to learn about various destinations, travel at a low cost, find out about food, hotels, hostels, accommodation charges, train and bus facilities, and even make reservations.

The decision makes it easier to make travel plans and provide one-stop solutions for all travel-related queries. The user can visit www.rameswaramtourism.org, to explore more.

Last year, there were various investments by private companies to develop the hospitality sector. According to reports, OYO also launched as many as 50 homestays, walking trails, and hotels in Rameshwaram and Ramanathapuram to boost tourism.
