BANGALORE: A software firm allegedly cheated its employees of crores of rupees by shutting down the firm without prior notice. Also, the firm has not cleared dues of a company, from which it had purchased computers.According to a complaint filed in Madivala police station by one, Vikas of Vantage Software Solutions, the firm HP Finsoft Solutions Private Limited located in Roopena Agrahara on Hosur Road had reportedly purchased computers worth around Rs 65 lakh about three months ago and it had not paid the amount for it.Further the complainant alleged that the company had recruited more than 1,600 employees among whom most were engineers including people from other states. “The company was started three months ago and while recruiting the employees, it had collected Rs 70,000 to Rs 1 lakh from each employee as security deposit. So far, the firm has neither returned the deposit money nor paid salary to the employees. Just a few ago, the company shutdown without prior notice to its employees and dues were also not cleared, ” Vikas stated.It is said that the owner of the company is one, Hanumantha Prasad Reddy, a native of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, and the same company has also cheated several job aspirants and enginners in Hyderabad earlier.The police also added that some of the employees had approached the police to file a complaint and they had been advised to file a collective complaint.
