English Classics in a novel way

PUDUCHERRY: English literature students of Bharathidasan Government College for women used dolls and models to narrate the plot of various classics here on Thursday.They used their visualisation skills to give shape to various scenes in classics like Odyssey, Silas Marner and Shakespeare’s plays.The  English literature  students displayed their creations at an exhibition in college which was inaugurated by Dr D Shanthi. Principal of the college, Dr N Soundaravalli, presided over the function.G Ruby Davaseeli, assistant professor of English, said that the aim of the exhibition was to encourage the habit of reading and to promote the creative talent of students.Nearly 200 students took part in the event with 40 models on various themes of the classics.
