HYDERABAD: Two youngsters committed suicide by consuming hair dye at Jeedimetla on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as R Kameshwara (2) and K Lakshmi Narsamma (19) who belonged to Lingala and Pulivendula in Kadapa, respectively. The incident occurred at 7.30 a.m. after which the duo informed Kameshwara’s friend Anji Reddy. Seeing froth coming out of their mouths, Anji Reddy called 108 services and rushed them to the Gandhi General hospital. They died while they were undergoing treatment. According to the police, the duo were childhood friends and were in love but Lakshmi was married off to another man a few years back and even had a child. But she continued to have a relationship with Kameshwara and returned home saying she could not get along with her in-laws. The couple eloped from Kadapa a week ago and came to Hyderabad in search of a job. “With the help of Anji Reddy, Kamesh rented a room at Bhagat Singh Nagar in Jeedimetla. He was in search of a job,” said Jeedimetla police sub-inspector Ashish Reddy. They declared themselves as a married couple and got a room. Police found separate suicide notes written by them. “Kamesh held a person named Sanjeevaraya responsible for his suicide but we are yet to verify this,” said Ashish Reddy. The duo declared that they had to take this step because their families did not agree to their relation. Both their families were informed and they are expected to arrive, the police said.
