'EK Villain' tweet review: Predictable in parts but worth a watch
'EK Villain' tweet review: Predictable in parts but worth a watch
First half of the film is better than the second part. Love the scene where Siddhartha and Ritesh meet for the first time.

It has been a while since a thriller, which does not feature a superstar, has generated so much curiosity that most theaters are running full house on its first show. Mohit Suri's 'Ek Villain' featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor has garnered enough curiosity thanks to its edgy trailers and soulful music.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Mohit Suri, the film is a stark contrast from Suri's last outing at the Box Office- 'Aashiqui 2'. While the previous film was a romance drama, 'Ek Villain' is a thriller with a love story as its backdrop.

Shraddha Kapoor, riding high on last year's success of 'Aashiqui 2' has not only played the female lead but also rendered her voice for a song. She teams up with Sidharth Malhotra for the first time and their fresh pairing is being loved by fans. The film also features Ekta Kapoor' s favourite TV girls, Amna Sharif and Prachi Desai.

All eyes are though set on Riteish Deshmukh who tries to break away from his stereotypical comic roles to play a baddie for the first time on the big screen. Will his mean act work? Will Mohit Suri strike gold once again at the Box Office? Shomini Sen of IBNLive.com is inside the theater to find out.
