Dr Shankaran misled CBI court: Ajitha

KOZHIKODE: Anweshi president K Ajitha has said that Dr Shankaran of Kottayam Matha Hospital, who had attended Shari, the victim of the Kiliroor sex scandal, knows the ‘VIP’ in the case and that he gave wrong statements in the CBI court.“When I went to the hospital, Dr Shankaran didn’t allow me to meet Shari. The doctor told me that as the condition of the victim worsened after the visit of a VIP, nobody would be allowed to meet her again.  The statement of the doctor in the court that no VIP had visited her is wrong,” Ajitha told reporters here on Sunday.“As the findings of the CBI in the case are wrong, a reinvestigation should be conducted into the Kiliroor and Kaviyoor cases,” she added. Dr Shankaran gave statement in the CBI court, Thiruvananthapuram, on Saturday that Women’s Commission member Meenakshi Thampan, the then minister P K Sreemathi and Anweshi president K Ajitha had visited Shari in the hospital.
