DMK calls back leaders from Delhi

CHENNAI: The DMK on Sunday chose to make only a token representation at the UPA’s celebratory dinner on the occasion of its second anniversary  in New Delhi.Ministers and other top DMK leaders who had camped in Delhi to attend the dinner had been recalled to Chennai. Even as a certain pressure group within the DMK top brass is said to be in favour of a break in the ties with  Congress, other powerful leaders are said to be against the idea. Discontent has been brewing within the DMK over the Congress’ handling of the probe into the 2G scam, but senior leaders have put a lid on it in the backdrop of the party’s drubbing in the Assembly polls.DMK chief Karunanidhi, during his Delhi visit, will on Monday join his daughter Kanimozhi’s mother Rajathi, husband Aravindan and son Aditya.
