Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Commuters Ahead of Functions at Bharat Mandapam On Monday | Details
"If possible please make maximum use of public transport," read a statement from the advisory, adding that people travelling to ISBT, railway stations, and airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand.

Owing to the various functions being organised at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, traffic police have issued an advisory for commuters from 4:00 pm to 10 pm on April 1. The traffic police expect a large gathering of people which has the potential to affect the surroundings of the Mandapam.

Here is the list of traffic restrictions and diversions shared by the traffic regulator:

To ensure smooth traffic management in the vicinity of the Pragati Maidan following measures will be taken:

  • No vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg and, Subramania Bharti Marg.
  • General entry for the public is not allowed.
  • Vehicles parked on the above roads shall be towed away and prosecuted for improper parking and disobeying lawful instructions.

  • Tilak Marg- Bhagwan Dass Road Crossing
  • Purana Quila Road- Mathura Road Crossing
  • Shershah Road- Mathura Road Crossing
  • Dr Zakir Hussain Marg- Subramania Bharti Marg
  • Pandara Road-Subramania Bharti Marg Crossing
  • Q-Point
  • Roundabout Man Singh Road
  • Roundabout Jaswant Singh Road
  • Kasturba Gandhi Marg- Firozshah Road Crossing
  • Roundabout Mandi House

Routes To Avoid

  • Purana Quila Road
  • Shershah Road
  • Mathura Road from W Point to Mathura Road
  • C- Hexagon, India Gate
