A close aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim Kaska, Dola Salim allegedly manages the gangster’s drug operations and frequently travels between Dubai and Turkey to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.
This comes after the Mumbai police issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Salim on Wednesday, following the discovery of drugs worth crores at Maharashtra’s Sangli.
According to sources, Salim also manages real estate operations, but his primary business is of drug trafficking.
Last month, the Mumbai Crime Branch raided a drug manufacturing facility in Sangli and seized 122.5 kilograms of mephedrone drugs valued at approximately Rs 245 crore in the international market.
A crime branch official said that Salim was also wanted in several other drug cases.
