KOZHIKODE: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) would file a petition at the Vadakara Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on May 29 seeking custody of the three accused in T P Chandrasekharan murder case. The three accused include CPM Thalassery area committee member P P Ramakrishnan hailing from Choodikotta in Mahe, Abhinesh alias Abhi, 28, of Moozhikkara in Kodiyeri and P Ajesh alias Kajur Ajesh, 30, of Panthakkal.Three persons were arrested by the SIT on various sections including 120b (criminal conspiracy) and 118 (Concealing design to commit offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life). Police said that Ramakrishnan was the main conspirator in the murder attempt against T P Chandrasekharan in 2010 and Abhinesh was a member of the quotation gang led by Kirmani Manoj. Ajesh, a CPM worker, was allegedly the member of that quotation gang and is also an accused in the murder of BJP activist Babu of Panthakkal two years ago. Vadakara Judicial First Class Magistrate, on Monday, remanded two accused - CPM Orkatteri local com ittee member M K Ravindran and Lambu Pradeep - in judicial custody till May 30. Meanwhile, CPM Kozhikode district committee has decided to file a petition in HC seeking regulation of the media which continue to give ‘insulting’ reports against CPM leaders and activists even after reiterating that the party had no role in the murder of Chandrasekharan.
