Cracks Open up on Rs 200 Crore Gurugram Flyover Six Months After Inauguration
The movement of vehicles on the flyover has been suspended much to the chagrin of thousands of commuters who take the route daily, especially the ones commuting from Jaipur to Delhi.

Gurugram: Cracks have opened up at the Hero Honda Chowk flyover on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway barely six months after it was opened for the general public.

The movement of vehicles on the flyover has been suspended much to the chagrin of thousands of commuters who take the route daily, especially the ones commuting from Jaipur to Delhi.

The Rs 200 crore flyover was constructed to ease the vehicular traffic, but the cracks have choked the highway all over again. Long jams were witnessed on Monday morning with the commuters having a tough time negotiating the route.

Meanwhile, the district administration has apprised the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) of the matter.

Speaking to News 18, Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, said, “The NHAI is aware of the situation. I have talked to their project director. The issue is regarding the gaps between the slabs which are generally left open keeping in mind the engineering aspect. The NHAI has assured us to clear the flyover for vehicular traffic within a day."
