BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate of Police have seized samples of hair locks from the Scorpio in which the teenage girl was allegedly gangraped and submitted them for forensic examination. Two days after the incident came to light, the two accused - Manoranjan Sahoo and Ajay Malia - were produced before a local court which rejected their bail and sent them to jail custody here on Wednesday. The victim, a college girl, had been gangraped in a moving vehicle on June 10 after she was offered a lift by the two near Station Square. Meanwhile, a man, stated to be the brother-in-law of the victim, has also disclosed before the cops that the two accused had threatened him, the victim and others with dire consequences if they lodged any complaint with police or even spoke about it before anyone. The accused had also allegedly threatened that they would circulate the images and video footages of the victim if she or anyone else made the matter public. Police are believed to have found images from the mobile phones used by the two and verifying them. The whole incident has reportedly occurred in the neighbourhood of Station Square where the girl boarded the vehicle. Police took the girl to various spots to stitch up the incident.
