CHENNAI: Hansraj Saxena, Chief Operating Officer of Sun Pictures, was rearrested by the police in connection with a complaint of cheating and criminal intimidation lodged by another Salem-based film distributor at K K Nagar, on Thursday.In his complaint, Saravana Films distributor Shanmughavelu of Kondalampatti alleged that Saxena and his associate Iyyappan threatened him and extorted Rs 45 lakh in two instalments of Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh for Vishal-starrer ‘Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai.’ The K K Nagar police registered a case against Saxena under Sections 420, 323, 324 and 506(2) and rearrested him.Sources said the police would seek custody of Saxena again to question him on the second complaint. Earlier, the Sun Pictures head was produced before the Saidapet Court at the end of the two-day police custody and lodged in prison.
