DHARWAD: MLC and former minister for primary and secondary education Basavaraj Horatti has decided to lead a padyatra of the teachers of unaided private Kannada medium schools and PU colleges to Bangalore on February 22.He told media persons in Dharwad on Sunday that Chief Minister who promised to respond to the teachers’ demand on the floor of the House on February 8, failed to keep his words as the entire proceedings were marred by the porn scandal. In letters written to the CM, both Horatti and the Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council D H Shankaramurthy sought the fulfilment the teachers’ demands by issuing orders for the release of funds to the employees of unaided schools.Horatti said both Kageri and the Education Department officials were not providing correct information to the CM regarding the financial implications of the fulfillment of the teachers’ demands.
