Cinema Express editor R Sivakumar passes away

CHENNAI:  R Sivakumar, editor of Cinema Express, a publication from the stable of The New Indian Express group, died of cardiac arrest in Chennai on Sunday.The 49-year-old had been admitted to a private hospital on Friday after he complained of respiratory distress.Following, a  cardiac arrest, he passed away. He is survived by his wife Sandhya, son Naren, and daughter Radha. President of Madras Union of Journalists R Mohan and Madras Press Club joint secretary Barathi Tamilan were among those who expressed condolences at his death. The final rites will be performed on Monday by 10.30 am and the funeral will be held at the Kannammapetai electric crematorium.  The kin of the deceased journalist can be contacted at 28343403, 9282438181.
