TIRUPATI: Reacting to statements of cine star, N Balakrishna who had declared that he is ready to contest the 2014 elections against anyone including Chiranjeevi, the film star turned politician Chiranjeevi retorted that “in democracy everybody has the right to contest from anywhere or against anyone.” Speaking to reporters, immediately after his arrival at Renigunta airport, on Monday, Chiranjeevi refused to name anybody and said that “it was everybody’s right to contest the election in democracy.” He revealed that his visit to Tirupati was to initiate several developmental programmes in the holy city.Later on, when pestered with similar questions about Balakrishna's statement, at house of MP Chintha Mohan, who hosted a grand lunch for him, Chiranjeevi, said, “There is no need for me to respond to anyone, as long as I am rendering service with dedication and commitment to the masses.” When questioned about TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks against him, he said they were cheap jibes, made out of frustration from somebody who was unable to digest the fact that there was no hope for him to come back to power in the next elections.“Naidu is resorting to such useless and meaningless remarks against me, as his hope of becoming chief minister again has been dashed as the Congress had become stronger with the PRP merger,” he stressed.“Naidu who had not done anything for weaker sections of society had no right to speak regarding social justice,” Chiranjeevi said, pointing out that it was the PRP which alloted 107 seats to persons from weaker sections to contest the 2009 elections.Denying that there were any differences between him and PCC President, Botcha Satyanarayana and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, he clarified that all of them were working together and taking decisions on various issues only after mutual consensus.He announced that the all round development of Tirupati would be done with an initial outlay of `405 crore, for which the government had given it’s no
