VELLORE: Vellore police on Friday busted a social networking sex racket targeting young working women and arrested two men aged 26 and 27 years. The District Munsif Court in Ranipet which remanded them to 15 days custody.Police said that a special team of the District Crime Branch (DCB) arrested Ananda Babu (27) and Dilip (26) of BHEL Quarters, SIPCOT, for allegedly raping 29-year-old Radha (name changed) of Triplicane, Chennai, and threatening to upload her obscene photographs and videos online. The police have also launched a manhunt for two others.Police said Babu, an engineering dropout, and Dilip, a marine engineer who has worked in London, with friends, Sathish Jayaram, Louis and Anandraj Nithyanandam, formed a Facebook group called “Dakaalti’. The group would befriend young women online and exploit them sexually.A couple of days ago, Sathish Jayaram, was arrested by Villupuram DCB following a complaint from a lawyer who was a victim. Radha, in her complaint, stated that she became friends with Anand through a common friend through a social network site nearly a year ago.“After Radha suspected Anand and refused to meet him, he began threatening her with uploading her obscene photos and videos on the Net,” said the senior police officer citing the victim’s complaint.
