CBI summons Mopidevi

HYDERABAD: Excise minister Mopidevi Venkataramana was summoned by the CBI to appear before it on May 21 for questioning in the Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case.Venkataramana was the infrastructure and investments minister during YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure as chief minister and the CBI wanted to question him on the GOs issued when he was the minister.Sources said the CBI wanted to elicit information from the minister about the GOs issued favouring Nimmagadda Prasad in the Vanpic project. This is the second time that the minister was summoned by the CBI.
