Bomb scare at PVS Hospital

KOCHI: The police got report of third hoax call of the month on Monday. Panic gripped the PVS Hospital in Kaloor, after the hospital authorities got a call from unknown, claiming to have planted a bomb in the hospital building. Instantly, the police arrived with the bomb and dog squads and conducted a thorough search. Last two hoax calls were received by a mall at the Marine Drive.“The caller said that a bomb has been planted in the PVS Hospital building which would blast at 2.50 pm. Though, we were aware that it could be a hoax, still, we immediately took action and searched for the bomb. As expected, it was indeed a hoax call,” said a police official.The hospital authorities said that the call was made by a woman. “We informed the police and evacuated the patients in the hospital,” the hospital authorities said.
