BJP launched its 'Modi for PM' campaign in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, on the occasion of the 118th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the campaign from Khargone.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and BJP Vice President Prabhat Jha started the campaign in the state capital.

As part of the campaign, BJP leaders took an urn in their hands and appealed to the people aaking them to give "Ek Note aur Ek Vote" (a currency note and a vote) to the BJP.

The campaign will be go upto the village level until February 11.

Swaraj and Jha told reporters here that the aim of the campaign is to establish contact with the people on a door-to-door basis so that they can donate, from Re 1 to Rs 1000.

The party has set "Mission-29" (winning 29 Lok Sabha seats) for Madhya Pradesh and "Mission-272 Plus" for the nation to make Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi the Prime Minister.

In Khargone, Chouhan along with minister Vijay Shah launched the campaign by taking around an urn in his hands.

On the occasion, Chouhan also inaugurated three 'Modi tea stalls' established by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to showcase Modi's achievement from a mere tea seller to the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate.

Chouhan had a cup of tea at one such tea stall at Shrikrishna junction along with BJP workers.

The CM said if Modi becomes the Prime Minister, the "step motherly treatment" to Madhya Pradesh would end.

"Therefore, it is necessary to make Modi the Prime Minister of India," Chouhan said.
