New Delhi: A day ahead of the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, the CD wars are on in full steam.
After the BJP's communal CD, now the Samajwadi Party is in the eye of a storm over its CD titled EK Dardnak Katal BJP Ki Maya.
They are being charged of allegedly distributing CDs in Western UP which show images of hanging of Saddam Hussein and glimpses of post-Godhra carnage.
Describing the contents of the CD as being extremely provocative, BJP spokesman Prakash Javadkar said that it not only defamed the BJP, but also the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress.
He appealed to the Election Commission to take immediate note of Samajwadi Party's actions.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav claimed that it was only the Samajwadi Party which looked after the interests of the minorities.
"All these parties are anti-Muslim," Mulayam said while taking an appararent dig at his party's political opponents.
