BHUBANESWAR: Are there BJD moles in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP)? Some senior Congress members think so and reported to have discussed the issue in the CLP meeting on Tuesday. Sources said some of the MLAs expressed concern over the fact that decisions taken at the CLP meeting about issues to be raised in the Assembly and other crucial matters are being leaked to the BJD leaders. “The ruling party is being routinely alerted about the decisions taken by the party,” a senior member said. However, Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh declined any comment on the matter. OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik said he was not aware of such a discussion. “I reached very late for the meeting,” he said. It was decided that a core body of the CLP will meet everyday to discuss issues. Besides, the Leader of the Opposition has been authorised to select the issue on which the Congress will give adjournment motion notice in the Assembly the same day before the House begins. The CLP has also decided to stall the House over the hooch tragedy in Khurda and Cuttack districts in which 36 persons died. Besides, the issue of rising crime against women, including the Pipili gangrape case, will be raised along with the Government’s failure to check Naxal violence, Bhupinder Singh said.
