The Bihar Vigilance Bureau on Tuesday arrested two government employees on the charge of taking bribe in separate parts of the state. In the first instance, the sleuths of state vigilance caught a Junior Engineer Shambhu Prasad posted in Bodh Gaya on charge of taking Rs 50,000 bribe in his office, a Vigilance release said in Patna.
Acting on the complaint, a Vigilance team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kanishq Kumar caught the engineer receiving the money at his office, it said. In the second case, Pradeep Kumar Singh, Principal, District Education Training Institute, Madhepura was nabbed for "receiving Rs 9,000 as bribe" in his office, the release said. The bribe was sought for promoting a student to next standard in the institute, it added.
