New Delhi: Taiwanese tech titan Asus, that already has a presence in other electronics segments in India, has announced its entry into the burgeoning Indian smartphone market with the launch of three attractively priced smartphones - the Asus ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 6 at Rs 5,999 onwards.
Asus' smartphone lineup includes variants of the ZenFone range - from the 4-inch ZenFone 4 to the 6-inch phablet ZenFone 6. The Asus ZenFone devices are powered by Intel's Atom processors.
The price of the ZenFone 4 is Rs 5,999, while the ZenFone 5 prices start at Rs 9,999 and the ZenFone 6 comes with a Rs 16,999 price tag.
Asus will soon launch a 4.5-inch variant of the ZenFone 4. The product is already listed on Flipkart as "coming soon". It will come to India for Rs 6,999.

The pricing of the Asus ZenPhone models in India will further heat up the low-to-mid-range smartphone segment in which there is fierce competition.
Asus had unveiled its ZenFone smartphone models at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and Computex in Taiwan earlier this year.
Asus already sells its PadFone and MemoPad voice calling tablets in India.
