Another reshuffle of IAS, IPS officers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF Government has made yet another major reshuffle of the IAS and IPS officers in the state, the second in two weeks.M Sivasankar will be the new General Education Secretary and will hold the additional charge of sports. K Elangovan, returned after Central deputation, has been made the new Transport Secretary. Devendra Kumar Dhodavat will be the new Agriculture Secretary and he will hold the additional charge of Agriculture Director.S Ravindran, who was the Pathanamthitta District Collector, has been made the Registrar of Cooperative Societies. S Lalithambika, who was the Kollam District Collector, has been appointed as the Director, Scheduled Caste Department, and will also hold the additional charge of KIRTADS. P G Thomas, the Thrissur District Collector, has been shifted to Kollam. V Sanilkumar, who was the Joint Excise Commissioner, will be the new Thrissur District Collector. Saurab Jain, who is returning after training, has been posted Alappuzha District Collector. Dinesh Arora, the present Alappuzha District Collector, has been shifted to Planning and Economic Affairs as Additional Secretary.In the police wing, Sanjay Kumar Gurud has been made the Assistant InspectorGeneral at the police headquarters. K K Chellappan has been made the commander of Kannur Armed Police Battalion. Thummala Vikraman will be the new SP, Vigilance, in Ernakulam. P G Ashok Kumar will be the new SP, Security, at police headquarters. E Divakaran is appointed as the new Crime Branch SP in Thiruvananthapuram. N Gopalakrishnan will be the new Chief Vigilance Officer at the KSEB.Vijay Sreekumar will be the new Armed Police Battalion DIG. Harshitha Attaluri will be the new Ernakulam Rural SP, and M P Dinesh will be the new Palakkad SP.
