HYDERABAD: Women Studies Centre, Druthi of St Anns Degree College for Women, Mehdipatnam in association with the English department organised an International Dialogue on “Women and Violence - The American and the Indian Scenario. Director, women studies, University of Massachusetts, Prof Shoshanna Ehrlich, shared her experiences with students and faculty in a workshop to discuss women rights which was followed by the talk. The panel members included Anjana Sinha IPS, inspector general of police, Dhanalakshmi Arumugam, regional officer, Central Board of Film Certification and Prof Shoshanna Ehrlich. It was moderated by Kameshwari Jandyala of ERU Consultants.An engaging interaction ensured that the panelists and participants touched common ground with the collective wisdom of experience and youth finding expression. . Fire breathing feminism was not exactly the formula for the day with special focus on sensitising the girl students to women’s issues. Students from Aurora, Kasturba, and Vivekananda Colleges also participated.
