COIMBATORE: As many as seven colleges in Tamil Nadu have bagged the highest ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the latest round of evaluation.While three of these institutions are being accredited for the first time, four others have retained the ‘A’ grade during the re-accreditation exercise. Among the institutions which have received the top grade for the first time is  Namakkal-based K S Rangasamy College of Technology, an autonomous institution. The college has been awarded the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.21.According to a NAAC official, the results of the latest accreditation were declared on March 10.The Tirunelveli-based St John’s College of Education (CGPA 3.02) and the GKM College of Engineering and Technology (CGPA 3.01) in Chennai are the other institutions that bagged the ‘A’ Grade.
