HYDERABAD: City police have identified 600 places for installing Closed Circuit Televisions in the city. Police is expecting 200 CCTVs more to be provided to them to install based on the priority. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, city police commissioner A K Khan said that CCTVs would be installed to regulate traffic, control crime control and identification of accused in crime cases.Police are expecting more than 2,000 CCTVs in a phased manner which would be installed in interior areas after covering priority areas.Security for Bonalu, RamzanSpecial teams would be deployed in Old City area to prevent any untoward incidents during Lal Darwaza Bonalu.“We have started counselling communal offenders and rowdy elements. More number of women police officers would be deployed as women devotees from various places would participate in the festivities,” Khan said.Police said that station house officers of police stations in South Zone were asked to leave only after midnight to ensure that Bonalu passes away peacefully. Police said they are prepared for the series of festivals in the coming months. After the 35-day Bonalu festivities, Ramzan would be observed in August followed by Ganesh Chaturthi in September.
