500 cops for PMs security

TIRUCHY: About 500 policemen will be deployed around the city airport in view of the black flag protest to be staged by the DMDK on December 26, when the PM lands here. He will later fly by a helicopter to Karaikudi to attend a few public functions. The Prime Minister is expected to arrive around noon by a flight from Chennai and leave for Karaikudi, where he will inaugurate the Sri Ramanujan Laboratory at the Alagappa University. He will return to Tiruchy airport to take a flight to New Delhi. Besides, the Special Protection Group, which arrived from New Delhi, to oversee security, the city police too will be pressed into service outside the Tiruchy airport.
