Miscreants allegedly pelted stones at four Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses in Karnataka, on Saturday. No passengers were hurt in the incident and the buses were taken to Hosur for repair. The incident occurred around 1 am, when the buses were passing through Lakkasandara area, near Bangalore, TNSTC officials said. “A complaint was lodged with the Bangalore police,” an official said.
Bus Services Resume
When bus services resumed around 8 pm on Saturday, following the bandh in Karnataka, TNSTC operated more point-to-point buses between Hosur and Bangalore to help passengers stranded at the Hosur bus stand. However, regular services on the route resumed on Sunday, amidst tight security provided by Karnataka police on all major routes.
