219 Sappers complete training

BANGALORE: At the Passing Out Parade held at the Madras Engineer Group (MEG) and Centre, 219 recruits took oath on completion of basic and field engineering training in Bangalore on Tuesday. The parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General S S Sengupta, Colonel Commandant of Madras Sappers and commanded by Sapper N Venkateswara Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen SS Sengupta, exhorted the sappers to imbibe not only the tradition of valour and sacrifice of Madras Sappers, but also the modern day technology skills.The chief guest also presented the trophies and medal to the sappers who excelled in the centre's training programme.
