2 dead, 3 injured in road mishaps

Two persons died and three others were injured in two separate road accidents that took place in Vanasthalipuram and Kukatpally on Monday.

According to police, an APSRTC bus hit two persons who were standing on the road near Kukatpally while it was going towards KPHB.  The victim, Ashok (48), a resident of Venkatarao Nagar, died on the spot and his son, Sridhar Rao, a B.Tech student, was hospitalised with serious injuries. Soon after the incident, the bus driver fled.

In another incident, a Scorpio car rammed into the pushcarts near NGO’s colony. A person died and two suffered injuries. The car driver, K Vijay Kumar, lost his control over the steering and rammed into the pushcarts parked by the road. A fruit vendor from Sahebnagar, S Chandram (55), a corn vendor, Mallikaraju (60), and a financier suffered injuries. Chandram died during treatment at hospital.
