2 Class X students drown

SRIKAKULAM: Two persons drowned in sea while two others were rescued by locals at Kapasukuddi village of Kaviti mandal in the district on Monday.According to police, four Class X students - T Prasanth, T Mani, S Mohan Rao and L Lagapati of the Government High School - had gone to Kapasukuddi beach after attending Independence Day celebrations at school around 2 pm. While they were swimming, they were caught in a strong current. While T Prasanth (15) and T Mani (15) drowned, two others swam to safety with the help of locals.
