2 assaulted, robbed by realtors

BANGALORE: A man, who had gone to see a house with a friend to purchase it, was assaulted and robbed of valuables worth Rs 10 lakh by real estate agents. The incident was reported in Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits on Monday afternoon.Murugesh, a resident of BEML Layout in Gottigere, is the victim. The police said that Murugesh, along with a friend, had gone to see a house at Vishweshwara Layout in Ramamurthy Nagar sixth cross. The duo was accompanied by a few real estate agents.The agents allegedly locked Murugesh and his friend in a house in the same locality and assaulted the duo. Later, they robbed the duo of three gold chains, two bracelets, seven rings, five mobile phones and cash worth about Rs 10 lakh and fled the scene. Later, the duo filed a complaint.18-year-old girl commits suicideDepressed after an argument with her elder sister, an 18-year old girl ended her life by hanging herself at her residence in S B Garden in Bharathinagar. The deceased has been identified as Arathi.She was the second daughter of Ghanashyam, a cab driver, and Sunita.According to the police, the incident took place after an argument over cooking between the sisters when their parents had gone to Mumbai on some work.
