It seems that Liverpool are adamant on the idea of not letting Luis Suarez go to Arsenal. After the Gunners agreed on a £40million deal for the Uruguayan striker, they have been informed that The Reds now want £55million.
The Sun reports that KOP manager Brendan Rogers believes that Suarez belongs to the top group of players and have hence increased the striker's price.
Rogers said, "When you consider Edinson Cavani has gone for £55m, Luis is up there in that bracket of top talent."
Rogers also explained that there is no surity whether Suarez would even be sold and their future plans involve the 28-year-old.
"There's no guarantee Luis would be sold even for that because we are trying to build something - we don't have to sell.
"We're prepared to spend and get people in without having to sell him."
