Juventus need Roma win to keep Milan in check

Milan: Piermario Morosini will be honoured before all Italian league matches when the Serie A returns this weekend, with unbeaten leaders Juventus at home to Roma and looking to maintain their one-point advantage over AC Milan.

Last weekend's matches were postponed after Morosini collapsed and died after suffering cardiac arrest during Livorno's match at Pescara in Serie B on Saturday.

There will be a minute's silence before all matches this weekend.

Juve's match against a Roma team that is chasing third place is the Bianconeri's toughest test in the title run-in. It could also be the last time Alessandro Del Piero and Francesco Totti — two icons for their clubs — will face each other.

"We believe we can win the title," Juventus midfielder Simone Padoin said. "There's six games left, we don't want to make any mistakes. We really want to win."

Milan host relegation-threatened Bologna on Sunday, and coach Massimiliano Allegri said the title will go to the team with "the steadiest nerves."

Roma captain Totti is all but certain to start, while the 37-year-old Del Piero is likely to make a late appearance off the bench for Juventus.

Juventus announced last year that this would be Del Piero's last season with the Bianconeri, although fans have been calling for the striker to change his mind after he scored vital goals against Inter Milan and Lazio in the league recently and AC Milan in the Italian Cup.

Roma are in fifth place, a point behind Udinese who travel to Chievo Verona on Saturday, and four behind third-place Lazio, who host relegation-threatened Lecce.

Milan will be looking to keep up the pressure on Juve when they kicks off nearly six hours earlier.

"We're only a point behind and there's 18 available to us. Juve will lose something, we have to get everything and put pressure on them," Milan striker Maxi Lopez said.

Lopez is on loan from Catania until the end of the season, and hoping Milan will buy him outright.

"I'm living a dream and I will do everything I can to stay here," he said. "I believe I have already showed I can be in this group. Every time I have come on I have done well and I still have six games left, why shouldn't I be calm?"

Lopez has scored two goals for Milan, but both away from home, and he is hoping to be able to show off his chicken celebration at San Siro sooner rather than later.

Bologna beat Cagliari 1-0 a week ago for their first win in five games and are just six points above the drop zone.

Genoa are just two points off the drop and face fellow strugglers Siena. Fiorentina — a point better off than Genoa — host Inter Milan, who have faint hopes of securing the final Champions League spot after improving following the arrival of Andrea Stramaccioni as coach.

They currently sit six points behind Lazio and level with Napoli, who host Novara.

Elsewhere, it's: Parma vs. Cagliari; Catania vs. Atalanta; and Cesena vs. Palermo.
