Manchester: Corinthians have upped their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez by making an improved offer on the 40 million euros that was rejected this week.
The Eastlands side are understood to want closer to 50 million pounds for the forward, who has admitted he wants to leave the club.
Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian revealed on Saturday that the Brazilian club had come back with an improved offer, thought to be 39 million pounds.
"I do know there has been an increased offer," Joorabchian told BBC Sport. "But the bid only went in on Friday and it's very early stages."
Tevez spent two years at the Brazilian club from 2004 to 1006 and scored 31 goals, captaining the team to the league and being voted the best player in the country in 2005.
Were a deal to be completed for the Argentinean, City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed he will make a move for Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
Aguero, an Argentina team-mate of Tevez and currently on international duty during the Copa America, has made it clear he has no intention of returning to the Spanish side once the competition is over.
