Barcelona are ready to snatch Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United if he rejects a new contract. Januzaj is currently weighing up an offer of a new contract from the Barclays Premier League champions while also deciding whether to accept an invitation to play for the Belgian national side.
The 18-year-old's stock has risen sharply after his stunning two-goal display on his Premier League debut at Sunderland on Saturday and is also wanted by Manchester City and Juventus. Contract talks stalled between the club and player's representatives after Sir Alex Ferguson decided to retire in May and have resumed only recently.
Although David Moyes is pretty confident that the youngster will sign a new contract with the English Champions but some they fear Januzaj and agent De Vriese are being driven by the player's father. Moyes recently made a veiled reference to 'some influences around him'.
Anderlecht's head of development Jean Kindermans, the man widely credited with discovering the star, warned last week that Januzaj Snr is likely to have the final say on whether his son stays at United or not.
