Rohit Shetty is also hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. The show will stream from July 27 on Colors TV.

For a long time now, actors’ entourage cost has been a topic of discussion. Several filmmakers including Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap have raised concerns about actors’ increasing costs and how it is negatively affecting the production of films and profit making. Amid all this, Rohit Shetty has now come out in support of actors.

In a recent exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Rohit Shetty opened up about entourage cost concerns and mentioned that it is not just because of actors. He explained that the cost of everything, from “travelling to ticketing and hotels” has gone up which is why production is affected.

“Not really. With me, it is totally different. When we talk about the cost, it is not just the actors. Everything from travelling to ticketing and hotels, the prices for everything have gone up. It is not just actors. The whole cost has gone up for a lot of things. Keeping that in mind, just because the cast is an ensemble, a lot of money is spent on the cast, it is not like that,” he said.

Rohit Shetty is currently working on the much-awaited Singham Again. The film stars several actors including Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Shetty promised that the audiences will get to see a lot of “hand-to-hand combat” in his directorial. He called himself “old school” and shared that he relies more upon real action sequences than VFX.

“I think now everyone is using VFX. It is not just us but all over the world. Most importantly, it is a bit easier and safer. When you are doing hand-to-hand combat, we are trying to be as real as possible. We are old-school guys. For me, hand-to-hand combat will always be real. Even when you see my next venture (Singham Again), hand-to-hand combat is real and yes, there is a lot of CG as well,” he told us.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is gearing up for the premiere of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. It will stream on July 27 on Colors TV.
